On the first day, we joined other people who had the same face card value as our own card. I was a King, and I'm interested to see what we will have partners for.
Day two was the lecture about the History of designs. We talked about influential people and products that have shaped the foundation of design. We talked about how things need to be functional. The Bauhaus is a building that several of our buildings on campus get their designs from. We talked about several chairs, and I liked how we actually saw the chairs on the third day when we went to the Architecture library.
The third day of class was when we took a trip to the Fine Arts library and the Architecture Library. I'm not really into buildings too much, so I know I will use the Fine Arts library to do my research for the designers. I did like to see the different chair designs inside Knowlton hall and the Architecture library. It gives to lecture about the chairs so much more meaning.
The fourth class was the breakdown of all the different design categories. I guess I learned most from the lack of knowledge about everything that designers made, or contribute to. I appreciated the general overview of the lecture because it helped me to better distinguish between the design disciplines.
